World Living Soils Forum 2024

OCTOBER 8TH & 9TH, 2024
IN LUMA ARLES

ABOUT MOET HENNESSY HAS BEEN COMMITTED TO PRESERVING LIVING SOILS FOR MANY YEARS.

Soils constitute a complex and still too often overlooked ecosystem. In total interdependence with water, biodiversity, and climate, our agriculture, as well as our economy and health, depend on their condition. Yet, more than 40% of soils on the planet are currently degraded. It is therefore urgent to act to protect and regenerate them.

Naturally concerned about the sustainability of its various terroirs, Moët Hennessy has been committed for many years to the preservation of living soils and launched in 2022, as part of a collective initiative, the World Living Soils Forum, a gathering dedicated to the preservation, health, and regeneration of soils. The first edition brought together for 2 days all the communities involved, with over 100 internationally renowned experts, to create synergies, share knowledge, agree on methodologies and indicators for monitoring and impact assessment, in order to accelerate the transition.

Co-organized with ChangeNOW to have a greater impact and integrate more solutions, the second edition of the World Living Soils Forum will took place on October 8th and 9th, 2024 in LUMA Arles.

LET’S ACT TOGETHER
FOR LIVING SOILS

During the Forum, a call for collective action was launched, with the aim of mobilizing even more widely and make everyone act to preserve and regenerate soils.

As supporters of life, water filters and retainers, and biodiversity protectors, it is crucial to preserve this ecosystem on which we all depend.

This Call to Action co-created with our Advisory Board recalls the challenges of soil health and details possible courses of action and commitment for all stakeholders.

DISCOVERTHE LIVING SOILS WORKSHOP

Conceived by the Sparknews agency, an impact company dedicated to accelerating the ecological and social transition, and Ludi Soli, an association created in 2020 by Morgane Van Dam and Corentin Bisot in order to raise awareness among the general public and local authorities about soil preservation with the help of an educational fresco, the Living Soils Workshop was supported by Moët Hennessy, which was very much involved in its creation. A monitoring committee made up of scientists and farmers validated the content throughout the project.
