A visionary entrepreneur and recognized expert in the forestry sector, Stéphane Ledentu is the founder and CEO of the SLB Group, a group of international companies specializing in sustainable forest management, the financing of natural assets and the ecological development of renewable resources. In 2014, he became a French pioneer in the promotion of biochar, an amendment intended to regenerate soils.
For more than 30 years, he has been working to reconcile economy and ecology, by promoting a responsible investment model based on respect for the soil and on the creation, protection and enhancement of forests around the world.
His approach — which he calls "Econology" — is based on the conviction that economic performance and environmental preservation are inseparable.
