Description

Pascal Boivin is Professor and Dean of the Agronomy Faculty at the University of Applied Sciences of Western Switzerland. He leads the soils and substrates group. He is president of the European Confederation of the Soil Science Societies and member or former member of several editorial boards of Journals in Soil Science (e.g. Journal of Hydrology, Frontiers in Environmental Science). His current research deals with the management of soil quality and soil organic carbon in cropland, and the interconnection with climate issues. He authored more than 70 international journals articles, covering a large range of topics in soil science, such as soil physics, soil salinity, irrigation, water and solute transfer modeling, geostatistics, redox processes in soils.
