Description

Following his childhood and studies in Normandy, he graduated as an engineer in agronomy, at Caen’s University. In 2004, he joined the Château Cheval Blanc’s team for his internship. Here, he leads a research work on how to match soils and grape varieties, managed by Kees Van Leeuwen, specialist of soils and “vine-growing terroirs”. In 2005 and 2006, he graduated as an oenologist at Bordeaux’ University. In 2006, he joined back the Château Cheval Blanc’s Team, as the technical manager of Château La Tour du Pin, then of Château Quinault l’Enclos, bought in 2008 by the owners of Cheval Blanc, Albert Frère and Bernard Arnault. In 2008, he also became technical manager of Château Cheval Blanc. His largest responsibility is to manage the work at the vineyard, at the cellar, and to coordinate the communication of the estate. He oversees, with the whole team, the vineyards of Cheval Blanc: Château Cheval Blanc, Le Petit Cheval blanc and Château Quinault l’Enclos. He also works, with Pierre Lurton and Gérald Gabillet, on the blending of Cheval des Andes, in the vineyard of Terrazas de Los Andes, in Argentina. Since 2008, he led the estate's key technical projects, including the building of Christian de Portzamparc's winery, the genesis of Le Petit Cheval blanc and the vineyard's conversion to agroecology. In July 2023, he was appointed CEO of Château Cheval Blanc, continuing in Pierre Lurton’s footsteps.
