Description

Sylvestre Coudert is a forestry expert and CEO of Forestry France, specializing in the valuation of forest assets, carbon finance, and sustainable land management. In France, he has held major national leadership roles, including President of Experts Forestiers de France (2020–2023) and Chair of the "Sustainable Forest Management" Specialized Committee within the Higher Council for Forests and Wood. In 2023, he authored the national report "Objectif Forêt," submitted to the French government as part of France 2030, a foundational document for the National Forest Regeneration Plan. He also sits on the board of directors of F&W, an American investment firm dedicated to natural assets, on the scientific committee of the BPCE Group, and contributes to the Xylofutur competitiveness cluster in Bordeaux. His expertise enables him to support governments in structuring credible forestry frameworks aligned with international standards, mobilizing both public and private funding. He is driven by a strong conviction: that sustainable forestry can combine territorial sovereignty, economic attractiveness, and climate transition.
