Description

Rosa Lia Barbieri is a Brazilian biologist and researcher at Embrapa Clima Temperado, in Pelotas, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. She holds a degree in Biological Sciences from the Universidade de Caxias do Sul, and both a Master’s and a PhD in Genetics and Molecular Biology from the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul. Her work focuses on agrobiodiversity, plant genetic resources, and the conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity. She is actively involved in research, territorial development initiatives, and actions related to the Rota dos Butiazais project in southern Brazil.
