Description

Julia Mensa, CEO and Co-founder of Nunatak Biotech. I studied International Relations and Political Science at Universidad Católica de Córdoba, with an exchange year at Sciences Po Paris and postgraduate work in AI and Law. In 2022, I created a project to predict the spread of forest fires using AI. I am passionate about technology and nature, and believe nature holds the answers to our greatest challenges. I take part in Habitar las Algas, a movement around Argentina's oceanic macroalgae forests, and built The Impact House, a communal home of impact entrepreneurs in Buenos Aires. Nunatak Biotech draws inspiration from resilient ecosystems to build more alive and resilient ones, learning from extreme microbiology. We develop biological agricultural inputs from extremophile microorganisms of Antarctica and Patagonia, designed to increase productivity and tolerance to stress in an efficient way.
