Description
Dominique Charlet is the former Director of Getty Images France and of the Sygma Presse agency, and the Founder of Taïga Images. In 2023, he co-founded RPBB, the Rencontres Photographiques de Boulogne-Billancourt, dedicated to documentary photography.
Selected by the PIP (Pingyao International Photography Festival, China), he curated the International Pavilion in 2009, 2010, and 2012, and again from 2018 to 2020.
He has initiated several projects, including the photography space at Art Event, Lille 2004; the Indépendances fair (launched in May 2006), dedicated to emerging contemporary photography; and the Caféfoto concept, collective portfolio reviews introduced in 2008.
He also served for many years as the Director of Photography for the SCOOP International Photojournalism Festival in Angers. Since 1994, he has taken part in portfolio reviews at numerous festivals across Europe.
As an agent, he currently represents around 50 photographers on the art market. ( www.charlet-photographies.com).

With the ESSEC diploma, he previously handled marketing and communication as Manager (Pernod Ricard, Unilever), before being Associate Director at the ad agency Grey Advertising.
