FEVE (Fermes En ViE)
Co-Founder
Simon Bestel is an agricultural engineer, graduated from Agro Paris Tech. After 20 years of experience working in consumer goods and the agri-food industry, notably at Fleury Michon, Kraft Foods, and Danone, Simon embarked on an entrepreneurial journey. Following the financial crisis of 2008, Simon decided to take a new direction, no longer wanting to be a mere observer. He chose to become an entrepreneur dedicated to social and ecological transition. He first founded Promus, a startup offering supply chain services to support the growth of direct sales between farmers and their customers. Then, in 2020, he became the co-founder of FEVE, alongside Marc Batty (whom he had met during his time at Agro Paris Tech) and Vincent Kraus. Together, they set out on a mission to accelerate the agroecological transition and facilitate the establishment of the new generation of French farmers. The socially responsible land company mobilizes citizen savings to purchase farms at risk of disappearing and makes them available to the new generation.
