After nearly two decades in the finance industry across Asia and Europe, Arnaud Maurissen transitioned into sustainable wastewater management. Following a discussion with a childhood friend, he discovered BioFiltro, a climate "low"-tech company harnessing the power of worms to naturally treat wastewater. He was immediately convinced by the environmental, operational, and economic benefits of this nature-based solution (from energy consumption reduction, soil health improvement, water reuse to GHG emission reduction). Driven by the ambition to bring this circular and sustainable technology to Europe, he co-launched BioFiltro Europe in 2024.
