Pippa Chapman is a soil scientist in the School of Geography at the University of Leeds, UK. She is working in the interdisciplinary field of land and water management. Her expertise focus around sustainable agriculture, agroforestry, soil health, water quality, and climate change. Her research focuses on demonstrating and evaluating the impacts of different transition strategies to regenerative agriculture, including quantifying the ecosystem services, such as climate change mitigation, flood alleviation and biodiversity, delivered by linear woody features in agricultural landscapes. She has also been worked with the agri-food supply chain in the UK to show how investment from them is essential to upscale the benefits of integrating linear woody features to enhance ecosystem resilience and agricultural sustainability.
