Zeynep Feyza Atabey is a visionary young female scientist and deep-tech entrepreneur advancing with the dream of contributing to humanity. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biotechnology at the Turkish-German University, where she studied in German, and is currently pursuing her Master’s in Biotechnology at Saarland University. Leveraging her academic background, she is proficient in German and English, with a basic command of French.
As the CEO of the deep-tech startup nanoWISS, Feyza began her journey by developing nanotechnology-based solutions for resistant biofilm infections in cystic fibrosis patients. Recognizing the transformative potential of this research for planetary health, she spearheaded the AgroWISS project under the nanoWISS umbrella, where she serves as the acting Chief Scientific Officer (CSO). Leading a dedicated scientific team, she focuses on adapting biodegradable and antibacterial nanoparticles into eco-friendly agricultural pesticides and soil improvers.
In 2025, her team’s work on a "Chitosan Nanoparticle-Based Agricultural Improver" was awarded the prestigious TÜBİTAK Seal of Excellence. In that same year, highlighting their dedication to creating a tangible, positive societal footprint, nanoWISS was proudly named a finalist for the Social Impact Award Germany. Feyza is committed to proving that the same pioneering principles used to heal the human body can be applied to protect and restore our living soils through innovative biotechnology and collaborative leadership.
