Description

Fabiane Sebaio is a biologist with 27 years’ experience dedicated to environmental conservation projects in the Cerrado biome. She holds a degree in Biological Sciences from UFU and a master’s degree in Ecology, Conservation and Management from UFMG, and combines scientific research with fieldwork. She contributed to the writing of the book “Biodiversity in Minas Gerais: an Atlas for its Conservation” and coordinated the Alto Paranaíba Diving Duck Programme (CerVivo NGO) for a decade, working on research, environmental education and the species working group at ICMBio. In rural sustainability, she has experience in internal audits, the 5S Programme and environmental certifications. She is currently consolidating her career in strategic leadership at the Cerrado das Águas Consortium (CCA), where she has worked for seven years. She joined as a field manager and, since 2020, has held the position of Executive Secretary. In this role, she leads multidisciplinary teams and coordinates strategies aimed at building productive and resilient landscapes. Under her leadership, the CCA promotes the integration of agribusiness and conservation, engaging farmers, public bodies and the private sector in ‘Landscape Regeneration: The Path to Resilient Coffee Farming in the Cerrado’ in support of environmental sustainability and water security in the Cerrado.
