Ifeoluwa (Lu) Afolayan is the co-founder and CEO of Aeropod, and a mission-driven interdisciplinary inventor, designer and engineer. She uses her educational background across Information & Communication Engineering, Innovation Design Engineering, and Systems Thinking to design solutions for both people and planet. She considers people in the context of their environment and time, and builds innovation that specifically anticipates the needs and guarantees the survival of communities, ecosystems and future generations. Her work primarily focuses on sustainable agriculture and physical computing, exploring materials, technology and systems that support global food and social security. Lu has worked across industrial research, engineering and early-stage 0-1innovation in Huawei, CWG and Biofonic. She is currently leading the development of Aeropod, a novel soil aeration technology founded out of Imperial College London.
