Head of Research & Development at Les Alchimistes Côte d’Azur Anja works at the intersection of circular economy, soil regeneration, and ecological transition. By connecting urban food waste with the agricultural sector and valorizing the ecosystem services provided by living soils Les Alchimistes Cote d'Azur contribute to the resilience of our territories.
In a simple back loop urban food waste gets collected, sorted and transformed into high-quality compost for nearby agricultural land, thus closing the loop from plate to land.
Anja is deeply committed to fostering robust economies within planetary boundaries, leading and managing complex transition projects that bridge science, practice, and policy. She holds a lecturer seat in several higher education institutions and is actively engaged as a climate advocate and entrepreneur. Passionate about outdoor sports such as sailing, climbing, and scuba diving, she also explores practical solutions to promote local, sustainable, high-quality food systems.
