Frédéric Dufour has been the President of the oldest champagne house since September 2011. A graduate in engineering from ENSTA, he also holds a master's degree in international finance from HEC Paris. He joined Moët Hennessy in 1996, starting his career in the Asia-Pacific region. In 2001, he was appointed CEO of Moët Hennessy Diageo Hong Kong. Returning to France in 2005, he successively held management positions within Moët & Chandon and Veuve Clicquot, before taking over the leadership of Maison Ruinart. Under his presidency, Ruinart continued its global development and strengthened its cultural commitment. Frédéric Dufour also initiated sustainable development and biodiversity preservation initiatives. Among these, the House unveiled in 2020 the "second skin" case, an innovation in eco-designed packaging. A pilot biodiversity project was also launched in the Taissy vineyard, on the Montagne de Reims, aiming to become a driving force for biodiversity in Champagne. More recently, the House launched Ruinart Blanc Singulier, an innovative new Blanc de Blancs cuvée, expressing the unique expression of chardonnay, a witness to climate change. In 2024, after 3 years of work, Frédéric Dufour inaugurated Ruinart's emblematic address in Champagne, 4 RUE DES CRAYERES, which has since become an essential site for oenotourism in Champagne.
